Eden State Park Photographer Engagement Session

I love this girl! Amy has become such a great friend and I was so very honored when she asked me to photograph her wedding. Amy owns Baby and Me Boutique and if you haven’t been…you must go! She is a very smart business woman and is super kind to all of her customers.  I just photographed her bridals and I wish I could post them, but we can’t give away the awesomeness of her fabulous dress and accessories.  This engagement session was a little nutty! We raced to get to Eden State Park to meet Kyle and we only had 45mins to get everything. I think I did pretty good under the pressure and these two were absolutely hilarious. I love  the way he looks at her and I love how she crinkles her nose when she smiles at him. Gah! Sooo romantic! Stay tuned for their fabulous wedding! Enjoy!

Fort Walton Beach Wedding Photographer Jennifer and Frank…

I received an email from this beautiful bride just a few months ago and she was busy planning a wedding for next year. Jennifer was filling me in on all the details and we were just about to book her date when a few weeks later I received an email that made my heart sink. Jennifer informed me that her Mother had been diagnosed with cancer and it didn’t look good. She made the decision to go ahead and have a ceremony, so that her Mother could witness such a special day. All little girls dream of a beautiful wedding and their Mother being there to help them get ready and sit on the front row during their ceremony.

This was a difficult day for everyone, but you could still feel the love and regular banter that usually occurs with tight knit families.lol  They joked and laughed at one another. They cried and embraced it each other. They are the very definition of a loving family.  I cannot tell you how blessed and honored I felt to be apart of such a special day.

Everything was thrown together within weeks and with no back up plan for rain…we all hovered under the porch. This did not shake Jennifer. She remained smiling and positive the entire time. I believe God gave her extra strength that day and a peace to get through it all. What a strong woman you are Jennifer and I know your Mother could not express how much she enjoyed seeing you get married, but I know that she did.  Jennifer and Frank…I will see you again and looking forward to it very much! You both are outstanding people and make a beautiful couple. Congrats!

In loving memory of Jennifer’s beautiful Mother, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society. Thank you.

Stephanie and Daniel…. Crestview Maternity Photographer

Well, where do I begin with these two! I graduated high school with Daniel and sang in choir with Steph. I love facebook because it has really reconnected me with so many great friends new and old. When Steph asked me to photograph such a special time in their lives..well…I was honored. I cannot wait till their little guy is born and I have been collecting props for his session for a few weeks now.lol I can’t help it! I think I’m becoming a prop addict…shhhhh…first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem..right?! Anyways! I love everything about the way this couple interacts with one another. They don’t take themselves too seriously and they sincerely enjoy each others company. Daniel loves Steph to pieces and you can tell just by the way he looks at her. You will probably catch him making fun of her too…then hugging her, but that is still love folks.lol It’s the best kind of love and the best kind of friendship any two people can have….some people say they marry their best friend. :) Congrats Stephanie and Daniel! You will make super rad parents! Enjoy!

30 Moms….

Whelp! I guess it can be just “30 Moms in 365 days” now!lol I tried to wrap this project up in a couple of months, but it turns out that I picked the busiest time of year. I didn’t even realize it, but no biggie! I will finish my 30 Moms if it takes me all year! :) Next up is a lovely Mom by the name of Heather. Her husband is military and she is a hair stylist(Aveda too!).  I loved meeting her the first time because she was in this cute black maxi dress and her hair was of course perfect. We had to reshoot another day and she was running late so she answered the door in her robe with a towel on her head. We chuckled a little bit because this is how it really is being a stay at home Mom and not always with full make-up and fabulous hair. Little guy was in his high chair eating breakfast in the bathroom while she showered. You gotta do what you gotta do.lol Well, it was his turn for a bath and he wasn’t at all thrilled with his hair being combed. I love these shots. This is real. This is how most toddlers act when they don’t like something. They try to fight you off so you have to manage to keep them  in your arms and still get the job done. Heather was extremely patient with him and I just think these images capture it all. Thank you Heather for your generous donation to Jenny’s Light and for allowing me to photograph you and your beautiful boy. Enjoy.

The Journey begins……

Well, never ever would I have imagined that I would have a studio one day, BUT my God is a big one and He saw fit to bless me with such an amazing talent that lead to my own studio. :) I am very fortunate to have friends and family that have been supporting me all through this journey. Thank you to my very loving and supportive husband. Thank you to my Mother for buying me my first camera. Thank you to my Krystan for encouraging me,praying for me and listening to me rant late at night. Thank you to all the rest of my friends and family that help make this possible. Oh and yea maybe this is brown nosing a bit, but thanks to my awesome clients who love me and love what I create for them.

About a year ago I photographed Beth and I told her during the shoot that we would be best of friends…life long friends was probably my exact words. Little did I know that God was intertwining are paths together and we would be right here at the start of something very new for both of us. See my Beth is an excellent baker and cake decorator. She is amazing at what she does and her cakes taste amazing too. I posted up a blog of her just the other day so you should go back and read it so you can see how fabulous she is! There is a man behind the madness that pushed us both to take this risk. He knows who he is and were praying he doesn’t go bald from all the stress we put on him. ;) If he does I can always fix that in photoshop.lol  He didn’t take no for an answer and he recognized an excellent opportunity for the odd couple (Beth and I) to share a space. I joke he is the brother I never wanted, but putting that aside he is my brother in Christ…thank you friend.

We never imagined all of the joking we did about being roomies one day that it would actually happen!  See Beth will be working in her macked out kitchen preparing all of her clients delicious cakes and I will be working on the other side shooting people.  I think cake and photographs go hand in hand. We will not be a team, but more roomies then anything. I hope you enjoy the big reveal. It’s not much, but we had fun. Excuse the messy yard….we just signed the lease so we have some work to do. ;)  Thanks to Tiffany of Tiffany Sims Photography for photographing this crazy war! Thank you to Crystal for doing are hair and making us look super hot. Go check out Beth’s site as well and stay tuned for updates!
