A Love Story Destin Photographer

I love these photos. I love this couple. :) David and Beth have been married for 12 yrs and they wanted an anniversary session. If you saw the lovely photos from their wedding…you would understand. :P I love it. They were so young and cute…they still are…just much more fashionable now. :) They know I couldn’t write this blog without commenting on their old wedding photos.

A little bit about these two crazy kids…David is my personal one man geek squad if that’s possible and the one person who probably comments on every single blog. :) He is a very encouraging person and his family I am sure feel very blessed to have him around..for the most part. ;) Beth is a super talented woman who makes killer cakes and her chocolate frosting puts me in a sugar coma, but I can’t resist it.  She will have a bakery up in the next few years so you know I will be raving about it when it happens..for now email me if you want an awesome cake for a birthday or special occasion and I will pass your info along. These two crazy kids have 4 kids….need I say more…they needed a day of just the two of them enjoying each other. It was an honor to share in this special time with them and Beth gave David a really nice wedding band to replace his old one too.  Also a little kid was having a birthday on the beach as we were leaving and she was turning 12…strange huh. Crazy stuff!

Sooo…if you have tacky wedding photos and want to retake some fabulous anniversary photos…contact me. :) We will have a blast and yes I might make you jump in the water. ;)

Trouble on Mainstreet Destin Photographer

Wow what a fun family session! Little A had so much personality and he kept me on my toes the whole time. Wasn’t anything new to me though because my son is just as active and crazy. :) Boys are so much fun! This little guys father is the owner of Bob’s Bicycle’s in Fort Walton Beach and I think you should get off your computer(as soon as your done reading my blog and showering me with comments) and go get a bike! His name isn’t Bob by the way, but believe me…I wanted to call him Bob the whole time. He will hate me, but I have been calling him Bicycle Bob guy behind his back..even though I know his name…just the way I roll people and it makes me laugh. All joking aside…super great guy with a gorgeous wife and kid.  Okay so enough of my blabbering and on with the show. Keep checking back for my new site to be launched around 2012….no, but hopefully before I have my next kid. ;)

Family Portraits on the Beach Destin Florida

Wow! What a beautiful family! This beautiful family came down to Destin for vacation and was very fortunate to be here at a good time when the oil wasn’t effecting the beaches.  The beach was awesomethat day! These little girls were so precious and very shy at first. Of course if you know me I am not shy at all! I brought them out of their little shells towards the end and you can tell how much fun we had.  Below is a small slide show of this beautiful family. Enjoy!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July friends! I was trying to think of something I could post that would have a very patriotic feel to it.  Nothing says patriotism like the men and women who have served this country and continue to serve. A few weeks back I had the honor to shoot a man who could probably shoot me and fairly quickly from hundreds of yards away…you will see why I say this in just a moment. :)

His name is Jerry Mitchem and he is a family member of my husbands and a veteran of the Vietnam War. Jerry decided to write a book of his experiances in the war and throughout his life.  Mr. Mitchem was a sniper in the war and a very good one….now you see why I was very lucky I was the only one carrying that day. :P   Mr. Mitchem contacted me to take a few headshots for the back of his book and of course I was honored to be able to do that for him.  Go check out his book…it should be hitting amazon and all of the major sites and stores here in a short while.  “VIETNAM, THE MAKING of A SNIPER” by Jerry Melvin Mitchem  please make sure you read it all the way through..not only is it an awesome book, but the photographer who took the head shot on the back cover…yea…she’s going places. ;)

From my family to yours…Have a Blessed and Happy 4th of July…Be safe and eat whatever you want because it’s a holiday….I know I will!
