I should entitle this “Dionne’s Senior Portraits” because she looks like a teenager.lol She isn’t very much older then me and she was so much fun to shoot! I just love her beautiful brown eyes! Dionne emailed me awhile back to schedule this session because she is interested in head shots for modeling. I was excited to hear that she was pursuing what she has always wanted to do. I understand taking a leap of faith and just going for it. That’s just what I did and I love what I do! Thanks Dionne for putting up with my crazy ways to make you laugh! Can’t wait to shoot your family portraits!
Wow the weather that day was acting a little crazy! Despite the dark lurking clouds you see in most of the pictures… it held out! It was actually kinda nice to have a breeze and not the sun blaring down on us. I think the emerald colored water and big beautiful dark clouds enhanced all of the photos! The whole event took place at Pensacola beach. The ceremony was on the beach and the reception was at a really fabulous beach house. It worked out perfect! It never rained until we were at the reception.
Nicole wore a beautiful dress that fit her perfect and Justin wore his uniform. The ceremony was filled with laughter and tears. The officiant read the story of how they met and it was rather comical and made us all laugh. You can’t help ,but just be so extremely happy for these two. I just met them and I couldn’t stop smiling at how sweet they were and so cute! Once the family portraits were done…we had so much fun just the three of us playing along the waters edge. We really did play around. You can see that they both enjoy a good laugh and were very playful.
I just can’t say enough about the atmosphere…such loving people…friendly and very accommodating. Nicole has a very big family and a lot of nieces and a nephew…they just adore and love their Aunt and New Uncle to pieces.
The food was yummy and spicey! Just the way I like it! If your ever in Pensacola stop by Jerry’s Cajun Cafe & Catering. Justin and Nicole were introduced at the reception and entered in through a sword arch. I had never seen it before, so it was great for me to be able to capture that moment for them! Talk about wanting to cry..Nicole’s sister gave a beautiful toast and spoke about their closeness and how it was being a twin. Like I said…just a very heart warming…loving and fun day! Justin and Nicole’s first dance was to ” Our Love is here to stay” by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong. Thank you Justin and Nicole for allowing me to share in your special day. Many Blessings to you both! On with the show……
Nicole’s Idea…it was really funny
Since I cut off his head in the sneak peek…thought it would be nice to show him some love.lol
My session with my little doodle bug was the best! She really is my second child.lol I watched her grow in her Mama’s belly. Her Mama is one of my bestest and her Daddy just recently got deployed for 8 mths..not his first rodeo and probably not his last. I don’t want to get too sidetracked, but I normally do…so oh well…I am very proud to know this family! Seeing what Mel has to go through every deployment makes me respect her even more then I already do. Watching David leave his family behind so that my family can be safe…inspires me and makes me feel extremely blessed. I have a great amount of respect for the military and I am very proud and honored to be an American. I have decided to join up with www.oplove.org and give my time and talent to those families who need me to capture their memories of their spouses deployment and homecoming.
On that note… Mel and I like to dress Miss Country Girl up and send photos to David overseas. We had such a fun time and of course we will do this as long as David is gone and we finish it up with a family shoot! So, I guess I have been doing my own Operation Love Lens Flare Style for awhile now.lol Okay…so on with the show. Just one more thing…you guys know I don’t care for much country music, BUT because David is my homeboy…I hooked him up with a little bit of country music. Enjoy!
How could you say no to that face!
You stole a piece of my heart when I first held you. Love always, Your Aunt Shanana
Hello All! I just recently did a beach session for a beautiful family. Little Miss H is only two weeks apart from my little man! Because we were pregnant at the same time… we have lots of stories to share and it’s fun to compare them since they are so close in age. When you see these photos you will notice a storm coming in! It was crazy! Miss H had a lot of fun running in the water…she got soaked! Actually everyone got soaked…so it was probably a good thing that we were rushing because of the weather.lol The last picture you will see Miss H drenched and her parents too.lol I love how curious and relaxed she was on the beach…it made it so much fun! Thank you my “favorite family” for letting me enjoy a evening at the beach with you! On with the show…..
